In Luke 11:9-10, Jesus says, "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened."
As I read that, something stood out at me.
Ask. Seek. Knock.
These are not passive means of accomplishing things or communicating with God. These are all action words - action on our part. God's part will follow. Like Jason said on Sunday, God doesn't need to talk to us. He wants to. He wants us to seek Him and talk to Him and bring Him our needs and desires. He is the only one who can provide, and He wants to hear from us.
